Notice: The Cabbit Protection League is closed as of Monday, July 15, 2002. If you still want to put a link on your page to the CPL, you are free to do so. The spirit of the site and its message will live on. I have just decided to close down the actual member application procedure due to too many people giving invalid details such as false links and emails. The member list as it stands will remain online, but the form has been taken down and any new applications that arrive in my inbox will be deleted. Thanks to everyone who supported the cause and may your love for Cabbits live on in all your hearts! ![]() What is the Cabbit Protection League? Simply put, it is an alliance for anyone who loves Cabbits and wants to help protect these lovable furballs from people who wish them harm. Whether you're actually a Tenchi fan or not doesn't matter; the only requirement is a true affection for these little half-cat, half-rabbit characters. I must admit that my inspiration, if that's the appropriate word, for starting this page was KillFliesBc, an unsavoury character who appeared on Child of Mana's message board and delighted in detailing to us his plans for microwaving and otherwise disposing of Cabbits. Sadly there are many others like him out there, but this isn't an attack against him or anyone else. The Cabbit Protection League exists to bring together people who love Cabbits, and to allow them to show their support for Tenchi Muyo's multitalented, metamorphosing mascots. But it's also something more than that. It's a defence of a symbol, a symbol of strength through love, peace, friendship and devotion. It's a way of showing your love and support for cuteness in all its forms, and that you're not ashamed to admit that a cute, fluffy character can touch your heart. It's a way of showing that you have the thoughtfulness, intelligence and compassion to see the magic in things, not just to deride and attack them because you think it's big and it's clever. The CPL's slogan is "World Peace Through Shared Appreciation of Cuteness". I hardly expect to achieve world peace, or even peace amongst Tenchi fans. But I'd like to bring together a little corner of the wired world that shares a love and appreciation of this symbol of cuteness. And if that sounds too deep or too sappy, well... this probably isn't for you. ![]() We'd appreciate it if you'd show your support and help the cause by spreading the word. If you don't have a website, you can add this line to your email, newsgroup or message board sig: If you have a website, you can either link to the CPL with a text link, or use a graphic. ![]() Member submissions to the CPL are no longer being accepted officially. If you truly love Cabbits and wish to show your support, then be an honorary member of the CPL by letting it show! The message of the CPL is to spread happiness across the web in the form of things that are cute and lovable - as long as people keep that message in their hearts, this world will still have hope. You're more than welcome to link to this site using a text link or the buttons above to show that you support us, though regretfully we can no longer sign people up to the member list and link back to them. If you have any comments regarding the CPL or any ideas for other things that could be done with this site to help spread the message, please use the comments box below. Please do not use the comments box to say "Don't close the CPL!" - the CPL as it stood previously is already closed. Also, please do not use the comments box just to say "nice site" or "nice design" - please only submit constructive ideas about the site. I have to read each and every one of the emails submitted to this box, so please do not abuse it, or I'll remove it.
